An evening practicing ‘The Art of Thinking.’

With Empathy, Clarity and Courage.

Are we living in a period of self-righteous anger? Who is oppressing who?

Is the activism of today engaging in a genuine fight against injustice? Should we accept and respect the voices of the minority in order to redistribute the power from the majority? In this age of intersectionality are we seeing a kind of competition to be the most oppressed, in order to hold the power in societal discourse? Does all of this empower or disempower the so called victims of prejudice?

Are you fed up with the polarised black and white thinking often caused by those social media echo chambers? ‘Culture on the Offensive’ are running three fun, informal, sociable and thought provoking evening talks and discussions.

Snacks and drink (with bar) from Grays Coffee Bar and Kitchen.
Watch clips, listen to a talk and have some discussion led by the entertaining and insightful philosopher, Dr Greg Scorzo. Then carry on with some long rambling conversations in the bar.
Challenge and develop your personal world view, and unravel your thought processes
The evening will centre around current cultural trends in the contemporary digital age, and will focus on YouTube vloggers and videos, as well as film clips. Learn new ways of thinking outside of the box and gain tools to use in other aspects of your personal life. Link up with other people who enjoy free-thinking.
